Fallout 4 already lets you build some wonderfully questionable settlements. Radioactive Workshop makes those decisions potentially hazardous, introducing craftable objects that irradiate nearby characters alongside a collection of themed decorations. The mod also adds glowing plants and a few appropriately unsettling recipes, including radioactive twists on familiar Commonwealth food.

The creator's warning deserves more attention than the novelty. Some radiation hazards may remain after an object is stored or scrapped, particularly if the cleanup script fails or another mod interferes. Leaving the area and returning is intended to clear certain lingering effects, but the author cautions that this isn't guaranteed and recommends a backup save. It's an intriguing settlement-building addition with consequences players should understand before experimenting.
