Using Modding News Central
These terms describe use of moddingnewscentral.com, the Modding News Central (MNC) publication, and the reader features actually available on the site. MNC is an independent video game modding-news publication. The site is operated under the publication name Modding News Central. It is not the developer, distributor, or support provider for the games and projects it covers unless a specific relationship is expressly identified.
Registration is not required to browse, read stories, or follow games. These terms do not announce the launch of reader accounts. The Privacy Policy explains current information handling and distinguishes it from planned features.
Editorial coverage and historical context
MNC reports on releases, updates, tools, and other developments and publishes Mod Spotlight features about existing and historical projects. A Spotlight publication date is not a claim that the project was newly released. Original release dates and MNC publication dates are separate facts.
Coverage relies on the sources identified in each story. Project availability, compatibility, pricing, and requirements can change after publication. Reporting on a mod does not mean MNC has installed, played, or independently tested it unless the article explicitly says so. Inclusion does not guarantee quality, safety, support, or continued development.
Original sources, downloads, and third-party services
MNC links readers to creators and authoritative sources. Mods and game files are obtained from those third parties, not supplied by MNC. Their licenses, terms, privacy practices, and installation guidance apply to your use of their products and services.
You are responsible for checking a project's requirements and permissions before using it, maintaining any required game ownership, and deciding whether to download or install third-party software. MNC does not guarantee that a linked site or file is secure or free of errors. A source link or image credit does not imply affiliation, endorsement, or a transfer of intellectual-property rights.
Content and attribution
MNC's original editorial content and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Game names, project names, logos, screenshots, and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners. Credits identify sources and rightsholders; they do not grant permission to reuse their work.
You may share links to MNC stories. Any quotation, republication, or other reuse must respect applicable law, including any lawful fair-use rights, and any permission or license that applies. These terms do not grant a blanket license to reproduce MNC articles or third-party media.
Acceptable use
Use the publication lawfully. Do not interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorized access to another person's information, impersonate MNC or another reader, distribute malicious code through its services, or abuse email-request or preference-management features. These restrictions do not prohibit ordinary reading, link sharing, or uses permitted by law.
Current preferences and optional email
Guest followed-game selections are stored in the browser and may be lost when site data is cleared or storage is unavailable. They are not a reader account and do not provide account-based synchronization across devices.
The optional Daily Digest has a separate email-verification and preference-management process. Subscribing is optional, and messages include management and unsubscribe links. Delivery depends on service availability, email-provider limits, and receiving-mail systems; receipt at a particular time is not guaranteed. Digest enrollment does not create an MNC reader account.
Planned reader accounts: not yet available
MNC plans independent Google sign-in and passwordless email links through Better Auth, with account preferences stored in Cloudflare D1 and requested sign-in email sent through Resend. Registration, account-backed synchronization, guest-selection migration, sign-out, and reader-account deletion are not currently available.
The proposed features would remain optional. Readers would control whether browser follows are merged into their account, and account creation would not enroll them in unrelated email or marketing subscriptions. MNC will publish the actual account rules and deletion procedures before opening registration; these terms do not represent those features as operational.
Availability and limits
MNC is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, MNC does not warrant uninterrupted service, error-free content, or the suitability of a third-party project for a particular purpose. Maintenance, outages, and changes in source services may affect availability.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, MNC is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from reliance on its coverage or use of third-party sites, mods, or software. Nothing in these terms excludes liability, rights, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms
MNC may revise these terms as the publication and its available services change. The updated date will appear above. Planned account features remain subject to further implementation and updated terms before launch.
