A farm shouldn't need an audience. If you've planted crops and wandered off to explore a cave, it would be nice to know that things back home haven't effectively stopped existing just because you're not standing nearby.

The Block Keeps Ticking, created by MagicJinn, addresses that frustration by simulating supported block and entity progression while Minecraft areas are unloaded. Its latest update extends that system to farmland and adds NeoForge support alongside Fabric, making the mod available to more players.

The benefit is straightforward. You can spend time exploring, mining, or building somewhere else without needing to keep every supported production area actively loaded for progress to be accounted for. That could be especially appealing to players who maintain farms while spending much of their time away from their main base.

The mod works in single-player and on servers, where joining players don't need to install their own copy. It doesn't simulate every machine or system from every other mod, though, so expectations should stay within what the creator actually supports.

For anyone tired of returning home to find their projects effectively waiting for them to come back, it's a practical little improvement to how Minecraft handles time away.
