Fallout 4’s Fourville gives a forgotten vault a town full of problems

The Commonwealth has no shortage of people with problems, but the residents of Fourville have managed to build an entire town around one particularly stubborn disagreement. Seddon4494’s quest expansion takes players to a cave settlement near Vault 4, where the locals are divided over whether they should keep waiting for the mysterious vault to open. There’s an election underway, plenty of competing opinions, and naturally, a stranger from the wasteland arrives just in time to get involved. Because apparently surviving nuclear devastation wasn’t enough without local politics.
Fourville offers a substantial adventure, with dozens of quests, a new companion, numerous interiors, and thousands of lines of recorded dialogue. Seddon4494 estimates roughly eight to ten hours of content, although the experience can vary depending on how thoroughly you explore. Support has been limited over the years, even with a newer main file released in 2026, so it’s worth approaching as an established community project rather than something under constant development. Still, the prospect of discovering a whole town with its own arguments, secrets, and problems makes Fourville a compelling excuse to wander back into Fallout 4.
