Some of the most useful improvements to a heavily modded game are the ones you never actually see. They don't add new weapons, quests, or characters. They simply make it easier for everything else to work together.

That's the focus of the latest RED4ext update from WopsS, which adds support for using Cyberpunk 2077's in-game mod menu alongside redscript mods. For players who rely on both systems, it's a welcome compatibility improvement that should make maintaining a customized installation a little less complicated.

RED4ext operates behind the scenes as a scripting framework used by other projects, so the update isn't something you'll notice while walking around Night City. Its value comes from supporting the mods that do change your experience.

The new release requires Cyberpunk 2077 patch 2.5 or newer, so players maintaining older game versions should check compatibility before updating.

It's not the flashiest modding news of the day, but anyone who's spent an evening troubleshooting a broken load order knows how valuable these underlying improvements can be.
