Night City wouldn't feel quite right without traffic. Between the crowded streets, impatient drivers, and the occasional vehicle doing something completely ridiculous, the city's roads are part of its personality. But there's always been room to make that traffic feel more varied.
Night City Traffic Overhaul, created by cradilyex, gives players control over the mix of vehicles in different districts, with vehicle fleets that change depending on the time of day and mercenary vehicles joining the mix. The latest update brings those existing features into compatibility with Cyberpunk 2077's patch 2.5, alongside adjustments to vehicle files and NCPD siren lighting.
For players who've already built their ideal version of Night City around the mod, that's welcome news. It means the main traffic overhaul can return to their updated game without waiting for another major feature release.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind. The Factions Evolved and Loreful Traffic add-ons haven't caught up yet, and pushing traffic density too far can overwhelm the engine, causing vehicles to overlap or disappear. Apparently, even Night City's traffic has limits, although anyone who's tried driving through its busier intersections might disagree.
