Starfield lets you work for some powerful factions. What if you could build one yourself? mice516's Faction Overhaul turns outposts into the beginnings of a political empire: establish a faction, name it and start claiming star systems. Suddenly, those settlements are territory worth protecting instead of just another place to mine resources.

Rivals can discover your holdings, demand tribute or attack, while your own ships and infantry help defend them. Permits also let you build in another faction's territory without claiming it. The mod needs SFSE and Address Library, and its persistent faction state makes uninstalling mid-playthrough risky. The creator also cautions against saving during an incoming invasion warning.
