Exploring the Settled Systems is one thing. Constantly reminding your spaceship where you were trying to go is another. LX6R's Route Memory SFSE tackles one of Starfield's more repetitive travel routines by remembering a multi-jump destination and rebuilding the remaining route after each grav jump. Players can continue the journey manually, let the mod handle consecutive jumps when possible, or take part in an arrow-input minigame that rewards successful rounds with additional jumps. It's an interesting little attempt to make traveling across the galaxy feel more like an actual journey and less like a series of appointments with the Starmap.

There are limits to the magic. Route Memory works within Starfield's existing jump system, so it doesn't eliminate loading screens or introduce seamless travel between planets. Routes are also temporary, disappearing when a save is loaded or the main menu is opened. At publication, LX6R's early alpha targeted the Steam version of Starfield 1.16.244 specifically. Still, remembering where the pilot wanted to go seems like a reasonable thing to expect from a spaceship capable of bending the laws of physics.
