The Commonwealth has plenty of places where kicking down the front door and opening fire will get the job done. But there's a real thrill in slipping past a room full of enemies without anybody realizing you were there. Especially when the place you're sneaking into is a heavily guarded bunker, and getting caught could turn a carefully planned operation into an absolute disaster.
Operation Jade Lotus, created by jesusconde (0utKast), brings a six-act espionage adventure to Fallout 4, complete with six bunker interiors and a customizable safehouse. The campaign puts stealth and preparation at the center of the experience, giving players something a little different from the Commonwealth's usual firefights.
One of its best ideas is a stealth suit that you assemble piece by piece as the story progresses. Once equipped, it can keep you cloaked continuously while crouching. That makes the equipment itself part of the adventure, rather than something you simply pick up before heading into the next mission. The safehouse adds to that covert-operations atmosphere, giving your character a place to prepare between assignments.
The campaign is available now, with English and Spanish voice options, and begins at level 10. For players who enjoy approaching Fallout 4's encounters quietly, Operation Jade Lotus offers a substantial new adventure built around staying out of sight rather than shooting your way through every problem.
