SteamDB joins Nexus Mods, with its free tools staying separate

Two familiar corners of PC gaming information are coming under one roof. Nexus Mods has announced that SteamDB is joining the company, linking a major mod-hosting platform with a widely used source of Steam game data. For people who spend time tracking games and their communities, that is a development worth watching.

The announcement does not mean SteamDB is suddenly hosting mods or that creators need to change their workflows. Any future product integration remains a separate question until the companies announce it. For now, the confirmed story is the relationship itself, not a promised new feature.

Correction · September 7, 2026: Corrected the announcement date from September 1 to September 2 and linked the exact Nexus Mods announcement. This is the source-event date, not the date of publication on MNC.
