RTX Remix creators have a significant tool update on the calendar. NVIDIA says DLSS 5, using its newer and faster 3D-Guided Neural Rendering model, is scheduled to arrive in RTX Remix on October 23. The announcement describes controls for deciding which scene elements receive the treatment, including object-specific presets and influence adjustments. Selected modders have already received a preview, but the general update had not shipped when NVIDIA made the announcement.

A separate Performance Mode for Frame Generation is also part of NVIDIA's October announcements, and it's important not to conflate the two. NVIDIA's reported speed improvements and broader RTX 40-series support in that discussion concern Frame Generation Performance Mode, not a blanket performance or hardware-support promise for DLSS 5 neural rendering. For modders experimenting with older games and modern lighting, the RTX Remix update is worth watching. October 23 remains the announced target, not a completed release.
