There's a new reason to linger at the inn in Skyrim Special Edition: Tessera, a Triple Triad-inspired card game. It brings more than 650 cards, over 260 opponents across Skyrim and Solstheim, and tournaments tied to your reputation in each hold. Even the local rules can spread as you travel.

A merchant-bought album supplies your starter cards; build a five-card deck and challenge an eligible NPC. You'll need SKSE64, Address Library and Meridian UI. Some card art is still temporary, and the Invitational and Masters tournaments remain in beta.

UPDATE | OCTOBER 13, 2026

Tessera’s installation requirements have changed since our original coverage. MeridianUI is no longer a separate required installation; consult the current project requirements rather than the older dependency list reproduced above.
