Markarth's ancient stone gets a new finish in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

Markarth has always looked as though it was carved from something older and less welcoming than the rest of Skyrim. Skyking Markarth leans into that identity, refreshing the city's stonework and Dwemer metal with material treatments designed to give surfaces more depth and a stronger response to light.
The overhaul reaches beyond Markarth into Dwemer ruins and Dragonborn locations, with Complex Parallax and physically based rendering options in resolutions from 1K to 4K. An optional Dwemer Pipeworks patch helps the pieces sit together. For players rebuilding Skyrim's visuals, the appeal is a consistent treatment of that unmistakable Dwemer architecture, not just a sharper set of city walls.
