Fallout: New Vegas finally lets you shoot some pool across the Mojave

You can gamble away your caps, get into gunfights, rob casinos, and make all sorts of questionable decisions in Fallout: New Vegas. But for some reason, those pool tables scattered around the Mojave have spent all these years doing absolutely nothing.
Luke2172's Pool Tables Of The Mojave finally puts them to work.
The mod turns 22 existing tables across twelve locations into a playable pool minigame, letting you practice your shots or challenge an opponent for caps. Higher wagers mean tougher competition, and your character's Perception determines how much of an aiming guide you get. Which is a pretty clever way of making an RPG stat matter somewhere other than a conversation or gunfight.
The creator has already updated the release with controller support and additional sounds, and there's a separate resource version for other modders who want to build on the system. You'll need the usual New Vegas scripting extensions, and the author acknowledges that not every table location has been tested, so some environmental clipping is possible.
It's a small addition in the grand scheme of things, but honestly, this is the kind of stuff that makes an RPG world feel more like somewhere you actually spend time. Sometimes you just want to put the gun away, grab a cue, and lose a few caps doing something considerably less dangerous.
