The front line wears its scars in Fallout: New Vegas

Between Camp Forlorn Hope and Nelson, Fallout: New Vegas tells you there's a war on. Improved No Man's Land makes the ground itself do more of that storytelling. New NCR positions and soldiers share the contested stretch with bodies, abandoned weapons and mines, turning an otherwise familiar crossing into a more visibly battered front line.
The mod also adds details to Forlorn Hope's graveyard, including barbed wire in the current release. It's environmental work rather than a new questline, but that suits the location. The Mojave's conflict feels more convincing when its aftermath is visible before anyone explains it.
