Mystic Portals gives Stardew Valley a rechargeable ring for getting around

You know how it goes in Stardew Valley. You've got crops to water, people to visit, errands to run, and somehow half the day disappears just getting from one side of the valley to the other.

Jolamods' Mystic Portals gives players a rather magical alternative to all that walking. The mod introduces a craftable portal ring capable of opening animated gateways to twelve destinations, although areas locked behind normal game progression remain off-limits. The ring holds a limited charge, so teleporting around the valley isn't quite an unlimited luxury.

You'll have to earn the recipe, too. It requires a strong friendship with the Wizard, sufficient combat experience, and progress through his Magic Ink quest, followed by some fairly expensive crafting materials. Co-op remains experimental, with the creator reporting incomplete local testing. Still, there's something wonderfully Stardew about working your way toward a magical transportation device just so you can get to Pierre's before he closes.
