You'd think the palace of a living god would already have enough theatrical flair, but apparently there's always room for a little more. DetailDevil's Devilish Vivec Palace Flames adds an eerie ring of green fire around the top of Vivec's Palace in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, drawing inspiration from Michael Kirkbride's concept art. The effect uses shaders rather than simply placing a few additional torches around the building, and players can adjust the flames' size, speed, brightness, and other properties. It's a modest addition, but one that gives an already imposing landmark a distinctly more supernatural presence.

This is specifically an OpenMW release, requiring version 0.51 and the appropriate script to be enabled. DetailDevil also notes that another Vivec flame effect can coexist with it, although both sets of flames will appear at once. Whether that sounds magnificent or excessive probably depends on how much divine spectacle you think one palace ought to have. Either way, it's a nice example of the smaller visual touches that continue to make Morrowind worth revisiting, even all these years later.
