Red Dead Redemption 2 gets a hunting camp you can build into a business

Ultimate Hunting Camp Overhaul gives Red Dead Redemption 2’s single-player hunters something bigger to work toward. Released on October 5 by alejahH, it starts with a modest camp and lets you buy upgrades that bring in a butcher, cook, hunter and fisherman. Hunting feeds a goods-production and delivery loop inspired by Red Dead Online, while later upgrades unlock repeat legendary-animal and legendary-fishing missions. It’s a reason to turn another trip into the wilderness into an ongoing camp project.
The creator clarifies that this doesn’t include Red Dead Online’s legendary animals or Cripps’s voice lines. The camp’s Cripps role uses the trapper model by default; his online appearance needs a separate content unlocker. ScriptHook V2 is the tested requirement.
There’s an important launch-day caution: a delivery-mission freeze report on the Italian 1.0 build is still being investigated, and another player reported invisible campsites without a confirmed diagnosis. Neither issue had a confirmed fix at the time of writing.
UPDATE | OCTOBER 13, 2026
Version 1.1 addressed the reported delivery freeze and added compatibility with AB ScriptHook. The creator has since released version 1.2 with further fixes and camp options. The launch-era freezing warning above should therefore not be read as a description of the current release.
