Raising the Bar: Redux reports steady progress on Division 4 for Half-Life 2: Episode Two

Division 4 of Raising the Bar: Redux is taking shape in public. The Redux Team's October report has put two maps on the approach to the Airex facility through the team's own testing rounds and into art work. One of them concentrates on interiors and puzzle solving, while a third map, designed around consistent sightlines across the facility, is approaching its full testing round. The report also shows new gas-mask citizens and base models for conscript soldiers, with further refinement planned.
The clearest sign of how this team works is a map it chose to split in two. Exodus, the drive away from the facility, is now two maps instead of one, partly for technical reasons and partly to lengthen the jeep journey, because Division 3 players wanted more of that drive. Feedback on the finished division is visibly shaping the one still being built. For now this is a development update rather than a new release: on the team's current layout, the division ends with an escape from the facility and a stand in a coastal village.
