Half-Life fans have become remarkably good at waiting. Waiting for announcements, waiting for answers, and occasionally staring at the number three as though it might reveal something if we concentrate hard enough. Jim_Partridge's All Good Things isn't an official continuation of Gordon Freeman's adventures, but it does offer something considerably more tangible than another round of speculation: a complete, publicly available campaign inspired by Marc Laidlaw's Epistle 3. Following the final development preparations MNC covered earlier this month, the eleven-map adventure is now available to download, bringing together combat, puzzles, exploration, custom-voiced characters, and new animations.
Jim_Partridge estimates roughly 90 minutes of play, making this a manageable return to the Half-Life universe rather than a sprawling total conversion demanding an entire weekend. Because the campaign loads through Episode Two, enabling it can affect the base game until the mod is disabled and Half-Life is restarted. For anyone still curious about the roads Valve never officially took, All Good Things offers another fan-made interpretation worth exploring.
