When the power fails, Night City goes dark in Cyberpunk 2077

A thunderstorm in Night City can now do more than make the pavement shine. The Grid introduces temporary power outages, letting sections of Cyberpunk 2077's urban glow fade during bad weather before the lights return. Reworked from The Lamp Lighter, it also gives streetlights schedules and more gradual activation.

Optional AudioXL effects add breaker and surge sounds, but some experimental controls deserve caution. The creator warns that changes to signs, screens and static lighting can persist after uninstalling or disrupt scripted events unless their saved fuse states are restored first. For players chasing a more reactive city, it's an atmospheric addition with settings worth reading carefully.
