Look through the portal before you leap in Valheim

A Valheim portal usually promises a quick trip somewhere else. Ravengates turns it into a window you can actually see through, with a live view of the destination and a passage for arrows, thrown items and smaller creatures as well as players. You can even interact with some objects on the far side.

That openness works in both directions. Weather and sound can spill through, and enemies may spot you or follow you back. Everyone in a multiplayer world, including the server, needs the mod, while several nearby active gates can affect performance. It's an ambitious change that makes travel feel physical, with a few new dangers attached.
