Unslaad leads The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition into a frozen mystery

There's cold, and then there's the kind of cold that makes an entire fantasy world feel like it's keeping a secret. Vicn's Unslaad takes Skyrim players into a mysterious, frozen adventure built around a half-dragon, unusual worlds, and a story that unfolds across multiple acts. It begins innocently enough with a doll, but the journey eventually reaches into themes surrounding the Dragonborn's fate. New equipment, challenging enemies, and opportunities to turn dragon souls into character improvements add gameplay rewards to an experience whose real attraction is its unsettling atmosphere and sense of discovery.

Unslaad also includes a training room for revisiting boss encounters, giving players another reason to return after the story has unfolded. The project has continued receiving updates over the years, although it isn't a new October release. English translation and optional voice work are available separately, with the voiced edition currently covering only the main portion of Act 1. Players upgrading from considerably older versions should also pay attention to the save requirements. For anyone drawn to Skyrim's stranger, more enigmatic adventures, Vicn has created something that feels a world away from the familiar roads of Whiterun.
