Enderal: Forgotten Stories builds a world beyond Skyrim

Some Skyrim mods add a new place to visit. Enderal asks you to leave Skyrim behind altogether. SureAI used Bethesda's RPG as the foundation for a separate fantasy world with its own history, landscapes, fully voiced characters and a story that isn't interested in simply replaying the Dragonborn's greatest hits.

Its progression and class systems give the journey a different rhythm, while the writing leans into psychological questions and difficult choices. That independence is what makes Enderal such an enduring example of total-conversion ambition. It's still built on Skyrim's technology, but the experience feels like a distinct RPG that happens to share some of its underlying machinery.
