Abandoned Prison trades ghosts for grime in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

Skyrim's Abandoned Prison has always had the makings of an unsettling location, but nameisry's new overhaul takes it in a more grounded direction. The ghosts and skeletons are gone, replaced by a leaky, skeever-infested Imperial prison that leans into the misery of a place left to rot. It's a different sort of atmosphere, one where the building itself does much of the storytelling.
The overhaul is designed to make the interior more inviting to explore, even if the surroundings are anything but welcoming. Alternate Start: Live Another Life is strongly recommended, though it isn't required. For players who enjoy revisiting Skyrim's forgotten corners, this gives one of them a fresh identity.
