Silent Hill's native port gets more comfortable on mobile

Silent Hill's community-built native port is becoming easier to navigate on a phone. A September update adds touch controls for its alternate third-person, over-the-shoulder and first-person cameras on Android and iOS, including on-screen switching and gestures for looking, aiming and firing. A touch interaction in the otherworld school's valve puzzle has also been repaired.
The project reconstructs the PlayStation game's behavior for other hardware rather than distributing a new commercial edition. Players still need legitimate original game data, and the mobile improvements are part of that ongoing community preservation effort. It's a small but meaningful step toward making those eerie streets usable without a controller.
