Flying down toward a planet in No Man's Sky ought to feel like entering the same sky you saw from orbit. Nubilus is built around that continuity, reworking cloud formations so the descent connects orbital views, atmospheric layers, cloud shadows and reflections on water. It's an ambitious visual idea because the journey between those views matters as much as either one alone.

The overhaul requires No Man's Sky 7.04 and Somnati's Lunatus, and it conflicts with other cloud-shader or SDR tone-mapping replacements. At publication, players had reported clouds spinning rapidly on the system map; version 1.1 offered a possible fix, but MNC found no confirmed resolution in the available source material. Atmospheric tinting was also under investigation. The effect is enticing, but this is still an early release worth approaching cautiously.
