NeuralScreen is trying to make its desktop image processing less costly. Version 1.7.0 introduces Boost, which runs neural work at a chosen resolution before compositing the result over the original frame. In the creator's 4K still-frame tests on an RTX 5070 Ti, the full program climbed from 45.7 FPS to 72.6 FPS at the default setting, or 83.4 FPS at the lowest one.

Those are promising measurements, not a verdict on real gameplay: the creator hasn't tested Boost in motion, and it ships disabled by default. The update also addresses multi-GPU, second-monitor and restart problems. NeuralScreen remains an unofficial Windows overlay, with cautions about competitive games and anti-cheat systems.
