A familiar Morrowind mystery finds its way into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

There's something about a mysterious visitor arriving from Morrowind that immediately makes a Skyrim adventure more interesting. Gan Xingba's Moon and Star builds an entire quest around that premise, following the pursuit of an elusive criminal whose identity is best left for players to uncover themselves. Along the way, you'll encounter new characters, a small settlement called Little Vivec, and a dungeon with puzzles and a boss encounter. The story can branch based on your decisions, with consequences that continue after the central mystery has been resolved.

Moon and Star is a relatively compact adventure, with one main quest and four side quests rather than an enormous new province to explore. That's part of its appeal. It offers a focused story with fully voiced characters, new equipment, and plenty of affection for The Elder Scrolls' Morrowind heritage. Gan Xingba has also confirmed Anniversary Edition compatibility, although some mods changing the same outdoor locations can conflict. It's an established project rather than a newly released quest, but for players who enjoy a little mystery with their travels, there are worse places to begin than a letter delivered by an unexpected courier.
