Black Mesa has never been the kind of workplace you'd describe as having a reassuring safety record. Team Vestige's DISREPAIR takes that reputation and runs with it, placing players in the protective suit of Nathan Heimann, a Combine hazmat photographer tasked with exploring the irradiated remains of the research facility. Instead of charging through corridors looking for the next firefight, you'll be documenting anomalies with a camera, solving puzzles, and discovering exactly how uncomfortable an abandoned industrial complex can become when you're the one wandering through it.

DISREPAIR has actually been available through ModDB since August, but Team Vestige has now announced an October 20 arrival on Steam. The upcoming edition is accompanied by bug fixes, additional lore, improved guidance, environmental refinements, and new voice work for some communications. The release also incorporates the related DISBELIEF and DISSOLUTION material. Steam availability remains scheduled rather than completed, so prospective players should keep that distinction in mind. And with the developer warning of blood, suicide-related imagery, and jump scares, this particular trip through Black Mesa isn't exactly the comforting nostalgia tour some Half-Life veterans might expect.
