Earth gets sharper geography in Minecraft: Java Edition's TFC: Real World update

Building a survival civilization on something resembling Earth is an appealing proposition, especially when the mountains, rivers, and coastlines have a recognizable relationship to the real world. TFC: Real World already builds on that idea, feeding geographic information into TerraFirmaCraft while preserving its demanding survival progression. Its Ultra-Realistic Update improves the underlying terrain and climate inputs, including more detailed mapping and separate rainfall and temperature information.
The October 12 release brings those improvements back to Minecraft 1.18.2 on Forge, following newer-version releases earlier in the month. There's one particularly important catch: existing worlds aren't suitable for a seamless upgrade because previously generated chunks won't align with the new terrain. This is a new-world adventure, not a quick refresh of an established save.
