Valheim's Jötunn update adapts to the overhauled build menu

A Valheim update can leave more than one favorite mod waiting for repairs. Jötunn, the developer library used by thousands of Valheim packages, has received a compatibility update for game version 1.0.7. That makes this a behind-the-scenes release with consequences for plenty of modded worlds, even if players never interact with Jötunn directly.
One part of the transition remains unfinished. Custom building pieces still appear in the build menu, but Jötunn has not yet adapted their categories to Valheim’s overhauled system, so those pieces currently lack a category. Version 2.30.0 addresses most of the library’s other systems, but it is not a blanket all-clear for every dependent mod.
