There's a difference between listening to a folder full of your favorite songs and having those songs presented like an actual radio station. GTA V's Self Radio has always been a fun way to bring your own music into Los Santos, but there's plenty of room to make that experience feel more like the stations Rockstar created.
SelfRadio Enhanced, from UTKXSH, builds on that idea with AutoMix and optional offline neural voices, adding radio-style presentation around the music players supply themselves. Version 2.1 expanded support to GTA V Legacy, giving players who haven't moved to Enhanced access to the project.
That release also redesigned the now-playing display and revised host conversations, listener-call segments, and transitions between tracks. Those additions are intended to give your personal music collection more of the character of a radio station, rather than simply playing one song after another. The listener-call segments are simulated radio material.
It's worth noting that this is a Windows Story Mode mod, not something intended for GTA Online. Version 2.2 is now available, with its changelog reporting fixes for a texture-related crash and a Neural Voice Pack installer error.
For anyone who enjoys cruising around Los Santos with their own soundtrack, the appeal is easy to understand. Your favorite music is already there. SelfRadio Enhanced is trying to make the station playing it feel a little more at home in GTA's world.
