Baldur's Gate 3's first-person alpha puts exploration at eye level

Baldur's Gate 3 has plenty of places worth seeing up close, and now there's a way to explore them through your character's eyes. proteusproject's True First-Person Camera lets players wander in first person, then steps aside when dialogue, combat, or a character switch calls for the familiar view. Zooming back out also returns the usual camera.
This is an early alpha for exploration, not a full first-person conversion: you won't see your character's arms in front of the camera. The Windows alpha is DirectX 11-only, with Vulkan unsupported. Support across different body types and broader mod combinations is still being tested.
