Faerûn isn't exactly known for cyberware, which makes the Edgerunner Class an entertainingly strange arrival. Inspired by Cyberpunk 2077, it brings katana attacks, optical camouflage and time-dilation abilities into Baldur's Gate 3, building a mercenary whose tricks come from implants rather than conventional spellcasting.

There's a cost to pushing the hardware. Using cyberware builds Overload, which can power stronger abilities but eventually trigger a System Crash that costs the character a turn. The creator has left out firearms and hacking, keeping the crossover focused on close combat. One setup detail matters: players need to use the included Debug Spell after character creation or a respec to initialize Overload.
