Changing skies give Tokyo 42 a new rhythm

Tokyo 42's miniature city finally has an evening worth waiting for. Time and Weather introduces a 48-minute day-night cycle, moving sun and moon, and streets glowing with signs and windows after dark. Darkness can affect enemy awareness, giving stealth a new variable beyond where the guards are standing.

Clouds, fog, rain, puddles and storms change the mood further, while controls let players freeze the clock or choose conditions. Tokyo 42 Mod Loader is required; the creator's first-person mod is optional. It's a visual transformation with a small but welcome gameplay consequence.
