Command & Conquer 3 battles can become a blur of explosions, smoke and overlapping effects. Firestorm's latest update pulls some of that visual noise back, making units easier to follow and preventing particle effects from appearing through fog of war. Water shaders and wind-driven 3D rain receive attention too, adding atmosphere without burying the fighting.
The release also revises the interface and adds skirmish maps, but multiplayer against AI carries a known desynchronization issue. It's a welcome readability pass for a visually busy RTS overhaul, with one important reason for multiplayer groups to check the project's notes before jumping in.
