Teardown Gets a 45-Meter Tower Crane That Puts Its Physics to Work

There's no shortage of ways to bring a building down in Teardown. Moving something carefully across the map? That's a different challenge altogether, and one that gives the game's physics sandbox another way to shine.
Modder gutsy03's Realistic Tower Crane, also known as SKYHOOK, brings some serious heavy machinery into the mix. With a 45-meter hook height, the fully operable crane can be spawned on any map, letting players climb aboard and take control. A hook-view camera and telemetry readouts help with positioning, while gradual motor movement and braking make handling heavy loads a more deliberate process.
There's a bit of engineering involved, too. SKYHOOK can lift up to 12 tonnes when a load is close to the tower, but that capacity drops to 4.8 tonnes at the far end of the boom. Suddenly, where you position the crane matters just as much as what you're trying to pick up.
For anyone who'd rather skip the engineering lesson, there's also an unlimited-lifting version. Teardown probably isn't the safest place to put a crane with no weight limit, but it's certainly an entertaining place to have one.
