Sid Meier's Colonization mod replaces Founding Fathers with a pirate council

Sid Meier's Colonization is getting an unlikely change of leadership. Instead of its familiar Founding Fathers, Pirates Mod introduces a Pirate Council featuring Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, Davy Jones and Captain Hook. It's a wonderfully specific twist for a strategy game that's been around for more than three decades.

The council brings new portraits, biographies and identities while preserving the underlying gameplay bonuses. So this isn't a complete rewrite of Colonization's political systems. It's a playful thematic makeover that gives returning players a different cast to recruit without losing the mechanics they know.
