Quake's corridors are legendary, but its community mappers keep finding reasons to climb out of them. Rooftops Jam collects 19 single-player maps built around elevated spaces, each interpreting the theme differently. Robert Yang's Mermaids In The Basement, for example, winds through a Mediterranean-inspired coastal town where sloping roofs, branching routes and streets below all become part of the fight.
The pack draws on Arcane Dimensions and its expanded enemies. Players need Quake or LibreQuake and a compatible modern engine such as Ironwail. Yang recommends Easy for returning players who are out of practice. Those lovely views aren't an invitation to stop watching your back.
