See RimWorld from ground level with RimVision

A RimWorld colony looks very different when you're standing inside it rather than watching from above. RimVision lets players take direct control of a colonist, and its October 12 update fills in more of that ground-level world with mountains, procedural roofs and recreational objects the pawn can actually use.

The update also fixes research-bench work, an important practical detail when your colony still needs to function after the novelty of the new viewpoint wears off. Harmony and a supported RimWorld version are required, and the creator warns of visual glitches in this actively developed, AI-generated mod. It's an intriguing alternative perspective, not a finished replacement for the usual colony view.
