No Man's Sky's Infested mod gives its eerie planets more teeth

No Man's Sky can be eerily quiet, even when a planet looks like somewhere you really shouldn't land. Infested leans into that unease, making the game's existing horror elements harder to shrug off. AldrichDDD's beta brings more pressure to infested worlds and abandoned freighters, with four presets ranging from relatively gentle to decidedly hostile.

Those presets are alternatives, not files to stack together. The harsher choices can bring more creatures, fewer warnings, and a noticeable performance cost, while creature behavior and animations still have beta rough spots. Pick one setup at a time and replace the previous files when switching. The appeal is simple: exploration with a little more reason to watch your back.
