Wreckfest 2 gets nighttime racing, because apparently crashing in daylight wasn't enough

Wreckfest 2 already gives players plenty of opportunities to turn perfectly good cars into twisted piles of scrap metal. Apparently, VonAmadeus figured the whole experience could use a little less visibility.
Night Racing adds a selectable nighttime weather setting to the game's tracks, letting players take their demolition derbies and races into the dark. The creator says the option works across all eighteen tracks available when the mod was released, and the accompanying screenshots show racing grids under dark, cloudy skies.
It's a straightforward addition, and there's nothing wrong with that. No elaborate progression systems, no fifty-page feature list, just the option to race at night and enjoy a different atmosphere while everybody continues doing terrible things to each other's vehicles.
The creator hasn't documented multiplayer compatibility or broader installation details, so those remain open questions. But for players who already enjoy Wreckfest's particular brand of automotive destruction, a little nighttime chaos sounds like a pretty entertaining change of scenery.
Besides, if you're going to drive straight into somebody else's car at ridiculous speeds, why not do it under the stars?
