Expedition Infinity gives Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 a whole new set of surprises

BlackStarGazer has apparently decided that mastering Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 once isn't enough. And considering how much there is to learn about the game's combat and progression systems, that's a pretty bold decision.
Expedition Infinity takes a whole lot of what you thought you knew about building your characters and shakes it up. Weapons, pictos, and equipment are redistributed throughout the world using a five-tier progression system, with the creator reporting 165 new pictos, 147 weapon passives, and more than 40 new moves. Character and equipment caps have also been raised, combat rules have been adjusted, and the three included seeds offer different arrangements of rewards. So even if you remember where everything used to be, that knowledge isn't necessarily going to do you much good this time around.
Now, this isn't something you want to throw into an existing playthrough and hope for the best. You'll need to start fresh, New Game+ isn't supported, and the creator warns against combining it with other mods that mess with equipment, combat, shops, or progression.
But for players who've already spent countless hours experimenting with builds and finding their favorite ways to take down enemies, there's something awfully appealing about heading back out without knowing exactly what you'll find. Especially when the game itself is already so damn good at keeping you on your toes.
