Two vampire hunters, one monster-infested castle, and a whole lot of things that would very much like to see both of you dead. Sounds like a lovely evening, doesn't it?

TheCodesAreReal's Blood Pact brings two-player online co-op to Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, letting you and a friend explore, fight, and tackle bosses together while keeping your own characters and save files. Attacks, spells, monsters, doors, and other interactions are synchronized, and you're free to split up while exploring before joining forces when a boss decides it's time to ruin somebody's day.

There's even a spectator option if one player gets knocked out during a boss fight, so you can sit there and watch your friend desperately try to finish what the two of you started. No pressure or anything.

The creator has been improving the connection system, with Steam friends now serving as the default way to join a session and subsequent updates addressing boss behavior and disconnect handling. It's still early work, though, and both players need matching mod versions and the supported game build. Connection reliability hasn't been independently established, so backing up your saves before jumping in is a sensible precaution.

Still, Castlevania with a friend? That's a pretty easy sell. Especially when you've got somebody else to blame for all those unfortunate encounters with bottomless pits.
