Assuming Direct Control lets you take over enemies in Mass Effect Legendary Edition's Mass Effect 2

Remember Harbinger's habit of announcing "Assuming direct control" before making your life miserable in Mass Effect 2? Well... somebody has decided Shepard deserves a turn.
Iguanon's Assuming Direct Control transforms AI Hacking and Dominate into something considerably more entertaining than temporarily changing an enemy's allegiance. Instead, players can take direct control of eligible enemies, fire their weapons, and use their special abilities. That includes things like YMIR mech rockets, geth hunter cloaking, and Collector Guardian defenses. Suddenly, the enemy's equipment starts looking a whole lot more appealing.
There are limits, of course. Shepard remains vulnerable while controlling another unit, the connection has a restricted range, and bosses aren't available for commandeering. More importantly, this is an early beta, and the creator explicitly warns about possible crashes and softlocks if you wander outside the intended combat area. Still, turning one of Mass Effect's most memorable threats into a toy for Shepard is a pretty irresistible idea.
