Morrowind's strange corners can sound a little more alive with Dynamic Sounds. eld@rion's OpenMW project adds configurable ambience for weather, interiors, dungeons, objects and creatures, including rain heard indoors and regional soundscapes. It also supports content from Tamriel Rebuilt and Project Tamriel, so the idea reaches beyond Vvardenfell.
Players can customize soundbanks without writing Lua. eld@rion says a major refactor and switch to Opus audio should help with file size and loading, although those benefits haven't been independently measured.
