Monster Hunter: World has aged rather gracefully, but its original DLSS implementation belongs to a very different chapter in PC graphics. Gabzk's new MHW-FSR project aims to give players another option, replacing the game's legacy DLSS processing with modern FidelityFX upscaling through a native DirectX 12 plugin. Quality, Balanced, Performance, and native-resolution antialiasing options are available, alongside sharpening and configuration controls that can be adjusted while the game is running. Gabzk also credits odt1's MHW-DLSS4 as the technical foundation for the project.

The release targets Monster Hunter: World version 15.23 in DirectX 12 mode and requires a suitable native plugin loader, with Stracker's Loader explicitly supported. Gabzk describes support across AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA hardware, although those claims haven't been independently tested by MNC, and we aren't presenting any promised frame-rate gains. It's also worth remembering that this is a graphics-hooking plugin, not a verified guarantee of online-play or anti-cheat compatibility. Still, it's encouraging to see modders continuing to give an established PC favorite new graphical options long after its original release.
