Story Journal helps Order of the Sinking Star remember its conversations

Story-heavy games often expect players to remember a remarkable amount of conversation. Order of the Sinking Star is getting a little help with that through fame2gin's Story Journal, which collects dialogue, signs, and recordings into an in-game reference. Entries are organized by visited areas and accompanied by speaker portraits and location imagery, making it easier to revisit clues without retracing every step.

The mod can reconstruct some earlier information from existing save evidence, though conversations that left no recoverable record may need to be encountered again. It stores its journal separately from campaign saves and requires DLL Mod Loader. The creator's in-game testing was performed on Steam under Linux and Proton, while Windows gameplay testing remains unconfirmed. It's a particularly useful idea for anyone who enjoys a game's story but doesn't have a perfect memory for every detail.
