FATE goes co-op with Steam lobbies and direct hosting

FATE has always been a wonderfully straightforward dungeon crawler: head below town, fight monsters, collect treasure, and see how much farther you can go. Fate Multiplayer adds something the original experience didn't offer: other players to share the adventure. blazingblazed1's project introduces Steam friend joining, public lobbies, and direct hosting, turning the familiar solo descent into a cooperative expedition.
Players keep their own quests and equipment while sharing experience and fame rewards, with group voting used for teleportation. The release also updates parts of the interface and includes crash logging. There is an important consideration for public sessions, however: no anti-cheat system is provided, so strangers may arrive with unusually powerful gear or manipulated items. For players who want a more predictable experience, the creator recommends playing with friends.
